Q. Do you have curfews?
A. No, we don't have any curfews.
Q. Are you affiliated with International Youth Hostels?
A. No, we are not affiliated, but we welcome IYH members.
Q. How far are you from the Alaska Marine Highway ferry?
A. We are approximately 5.5 miles from the ferry. The ferry docks 4 miles from town and we are 1.5 miles south of town.
Q. Do you pick people up from the ferry or airport?
A. We will pick people up from the ferry if they are stranded or have missed the taxi. Please call for assistance if you are in that situation.
Q. Is there a taxi in town?
A. There is a taxi in town: Ms. Lucy's Taxi 907-303-8000.
Q. Do you allow pets?
A. We do allow pets. If you plan to bring a dog please bring a pet bed or a
blanket for them to sleep on. No dogs on the beds. Dogs must be on a leash and please pick up after them.
Q. What time is check in and check out?
A. Check out is 11:00am and check in is 3:00pm. If you need to check in earlier please check with us as it takes us time to do the rooms from the previous night.
Q. Do you have any discounts?
A. Sorry we are already the least expensive rooms in town so we don't offer discounts.
Q. Do we need transportation while in Haines?
A. Things in Haines are spread out sometimes several miles. There are car rentals as well as bike rentals available in town. For getting around town itself you can walk anywhere you might want to go.
Q. Is there a place we can get information in town?
A. The Visitor Center on 2nd ave. is a great resource for all of your questions.
Q. Do you have internet access?
A. At this time I do not. I am in the process of getting wireless internet for the cabins very soon. In the mean time the library has free use of computers to check your email and use the internet.
Q. Do you allow smoking?
A. There is no smoking in any of the rooms, bath house or kitchen. Smoking is allowed outside only.
